Drift Resort Palm Cove is located 25 minutes north of Cairns adjacent the magnificent tropical, palm fringed beach of Palm Cove. The holiday accommodation is a Franchise of Accor Properties and branded Grand Mercure Rockford Esplanade Palm Cove. The residential apartments are managed by Drift Palm Cove (Management) Pty. Ltd.

The Resort offers guests a superb location with a range of in-house facilities. However without doubt, the key feature is the overall tropical resort design where the accommodation surrounds a quarter acre free-form lagoon pool area like no other in Palm Cove. The freshwater swimming pool meanders around pockets of towering Melaleuca (paperbark) Trees with expansive decking areas providing both sunny and shady private zones for relaxation and enjoyment. On site we have a range of cafes, restaurants and hair & beauty salon.

Bike Friendly Resort

The Resort is popular for local cyclists and their intra and interstate buddies. At Drift Resort, we have a dedicated secure bike storage area, a bike washing bay and workshop area. Close by are world class riding tracks and rides for both road and mountain biking enthusiasts.

How to get here.

Drift Resort offers airport pick up/drop transfers. If you’re driving yourself, it’s very easy. Turn right onto the Cook Highway at the main airport intersection and travel 25kms along the highway until you reach the Palm Cove suburb sign. Turn right at the next T-intersection (Veivers Road) and travel towards the beach. Drift Resort is on the beachfront on the corner of Veivers Road and Williams Esplanade.

Palm Cove Village is home to a variety of award winning restaurants, shops, cafes and day spas. There’s action aplenty with access to golf courses, adventure sports and natural wonders such as the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest. Village facilities include wine bars, a Tavern, Surf Life Saving Club and a selection of boutique shopping. The Village also has a Post Office, convenience store, butcher, doctor, chemist and dentist. There is also a Coles supermarket 5 minutes drive away in the neighbouring suburb of Clifton Beach.
